Location: Farmington, NY
Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Hours: Part-time (approx. 6-15 hours/week)

Pay: $22-$27 / hour
Reports To: HR Director

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our HR and finance team. This in-office role is responsible for processing weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now for both salaried and hourly employees across multiple states and 3 companies. Candidates with construction industry or job-costing payroll experience are highly preferred. The role requires availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and is based in Farmington, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly team members using ADP Workforce Now
  • Review and audit timecard data, job cost coding, deductions, reimbursements, and accruals
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage regulations
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy in payroll, reporting, and job cost allocations
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll setup and final pay
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with audits, reconciliations, and year-end tasks
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information

Qualifications:

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Construction or job-costing payroll experience strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of payroll and tax regulations, including multi-state requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools

Work Environment:

  • This is an on-site role at our Farmington, NY office
  • Regular use of computers and office equipment
  • Standard physical demands of an office-based position
