Job Description:
Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Geneva, NY (On-site)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Independently manage all day-to-day people relations functions including but not limited to benefits, leave administration, onboarding, employee relations, OSHA, leave management, employee development, talent acquisition and employee engagement.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives and coordinate recognition programs to enhance workplace morale and retention, focusing on individuals, teams, the organization and the community.
- Partner with the leadership team to understand workforce planning including current and future talent needs.
- Screen and interview candidates based on red Jacket’s culture and values, the needs of the department, and federal and state guidelines; perform background checks.
- Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
- Collaborate with benefits broker to create best-in-class benefits program within budget.
- Oversee employee relations including conflict resolution, investigations, performance improvement plans and terminations.
- Maintain accurate and up to date employee records including personal information, employment history and benefits information.
- Develop, implement and role model HR policies and procedures; maintain and update Red Jacket’s employee handbook.
- Understand Red Jacket safety protocol’s and participate in safety committee.
- Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on existing, anticipated, and new legislation; implement requirements; regularly advise management on needed actions.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees to enhance and maintain Red Jacket’s culture and brand.
- Work with management to ensure effective formal and informal performance management, including a consistent approach, maintaining a high quality of performance, and ensuring regular 1:1 communication.
- Work with leadership on goal planning to achieve company growth initiatives.
- Advise and coach management team and communicate clearly and collaboratively with peers.
- May process payroll as needed.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Certifications/Licenses:
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources; manufacturing environment preferred.
- 2-3 years of payroll experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations and best practices.
- Excellent prioritization skills; ensures multiple tasks, projects and deadlines are completed on time.
- Maintains a positive outlook and finds mutually beneficial solutions, especially during challenges or uncertainty.
- Builds trust and credibility; encourages shared decision-making.
- Adapts communication style to suit different audiences and situations.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change, demonstrating a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
- Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with others, working well across other departments.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving, influence and conflict-resolution skills.
- Computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- PPE is required on the production floor.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000-85,000 annually, representing our good faith and reasonable estimate of the potential compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill set.
